Bartolome has recently joined the shipping division at DFDS after having completed his Bachelors at Plymouth University, an institution with which he is still closely linked. While working at DFDS, Bartolome is enrolled in the Commercial Shipping Program at the Danish Shipping Academy, where he specializes in various areas of shipping.
Bartolome has a diverse background, having been raised in Spain, where he studied at a military school, then living in Ireland, Portugal and the UK. Along with his current training, he has gained experience in the fields of Chartering and Operations during his time in Newcastle and Hamburg offices of Schulte & Bruns. As a co-founder and currently associate member of the Plymouth International Maritime & Shipping Student Society (PIMSSS), he has put his fascinations for the shipping industry into practice, allowing many others to gain advantage of this. Moreover, he took part of the Shanghai Maritime University exchange program in 2012.
In his free time, Bartolome is a passionate footballer, runner and tennis player. He is also a passionate volunteer on shipping affair currently raising awareness and fundraising money for Seafarers UK, training in taking part in the 2016 London Marathon.
