SPNL would like to thank global law firm Clyde & Co for hosting and sponsoring a very successful event at their offices in the City of London.
On 1 May 2019, we held a fantastic event at the lovely offices of Clyde & Co, where we were joined by a very knowledgeable panel of speakers to learn more about the future for the LNG industry.
The panel consisted of Marie-Anne Moussalli, Legal Director of Clyde & Co as Moderator; Constantin Corniciuc, Principal Surveyor, Client Manager, Marine and Offshore of Lloyd’s Register; Stuart McAlpine, Partner of Clyde & Co; Paul Taylor, Global Head of Shipping & Offshore of Société Générale CIB and Andrew Finn, Partner of Affinity.
The panel shared their views on the outlook for LNG industry and on LNG as an alternative fuel. Opinions varied but there was a general consensus that LNG as a fuel can solve many of the emission regulations shipowners are facing today but also that it can be a transitional fuel that can be used until a more sustainable and affordable alternative emerges. We are very grateful to the knowledgeable speakers and the SPNL delegates for making this event such a success.
After the event, there were opportunities for networking, mentoring and socialising with our invited guests followed by drinks and nibbles.
