Event #12 Digitalization in the maritime industry – aspects of autonomous navigation

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to our next event – in cooperation with Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services CML and Bernhard Schulte GmbH & Co. KG. on

“Digitalization in the maritime industry – aspects of autonomous navigation”

What does the future of shipping look like? Most certainly the industry faces challenges such as significant increases in transport volumes, growing environmental requirements and a shortage of seafarers in the future. Will digitalization and the concept of autonomous ships bring along the potential to overcome the challenges of the future? Are regulators and insurers moving fast enough to keep up with the technology?

Our guest speakers, Prof. Carlos Jahn, head of Fraunhofer CML, and Mr. Lennart Swoboda of Bernhard Schulte, will shed some light on theoretical and commercial aspects of the digitalization progress in the shipping industry.

Our event will be documented by a photographer. Therefore, please note that with your attendance to the above-mentioned event you consent to be photographed and pictures can be published on our webpage or in maritime magazines/newspapers.
