Faced once again with a global health emergency, we are reminded of the importance of cautious planning and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
What measures can we put in place to ensure we can cope with unforeseen complications? How do we expect the unexpected?
Eleanor Midwinter (Specialist Counsel) and Baptiste Weijburg (Partner) from law firm Wikborg Rein together with barristers Anna Hoffman from 4 Pump Court and Fiona Whiteside from 20 Essex chambers will give short presentations on dealing with new situations that affect the maritime industry.
The session will begin with a talk on responding to the coronavirus in the shipping context and follow on to related topics around handling unexpected events, such as force majeure and effective legal drafting.
The presentations will conclude with a Q&A session followed by an opportunity for further informal discussion over drinks courtesy of our hosts, Wikborg Rein London.
