Ioanna is a Consultant Naval Architect at London Offshore Consultants (LOC). LOC is a marine and engineering consultancy firm for the shipping and energy industries worldwide. Ioanna holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). During her studies in Athens, she was spending her free time sailing and participated in numerous national races like Aegean Rallies and Regattas. After her internship in a well-established Greek shipping company in Piraeus, Ioanna moved to UK where she obtained her Master of Science (MSc) degree in Technical Ship Management from Strathclyde University in Glasgow. While at LOC London, Ioanna was involved in providing expert advice in marine casualties’ investigation, claims and contractual disputes as well as reviewed and approved engineering documents for various operations in the energy industry. Since January, she has been working for LOC’s subsidiary company, Longitude Engineering, in Southampton, where she is carrying out design and analysis work for commercial crafts and projects in the defence sector. Ioanna is an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) working towards her Chartership. Out of work and with every opportunity she enjoys travelling to other countries or escaping to the British countryside.
