Join the 2024-2025 SPNL board!

The Shipping Professional Network in London (SPNL) is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hardworking professionals to join the SPNL board, with open positions on our Events and Sponsorship teams, as well as for a new Treasurer.

These roles are ideal for ambitious maritime professionals who either have or are eager to gain board experience. As part of a dynamic networking organization, new board members will have the opportunity to develop both operational and strategic skills while collaborating with other young professionals in the shipping industry.

Board Member (Sponsorship Team)

The Sponsorship Board Member will be assisting with maintaining and enhancing relationships with the current sponsors of the SPNL as well as looking to build new opportunities with organisations across the maritime industry.

Board Member (Τreasurer)

The Treasurer will oversee SPNL’s financial affairs, ensuring compliance with legal standards and accepted accounting practices. Will be responsible for preparing financial reports, filings, accounts, and audits.

Board Associate (Events Team)

The Events Board Member will be part of the team managing SPNL events with focus on creating content for SPNL’s social media platforms (including Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook). This role requires interacting with young shipping professionals by implementing content strategies on our social media platforms and developing social media campaigns.

The SPNL Board is diverse and composed of maritime professionals of all sectors and backgrounds. The SPNL is run by a team of shipping professionals in their ‘spare time’ (in parallel to our professional careers) and serving on the board will require your attendance at meetings and events in London (mostly outside working hours), so residence near London is required.

Please briefly explain why you are interested in joining the board.
You will then receive full job descriptions and an application form to be completed and submitted together with your CV.
Each application will be reviewed by the SPNL Election Committee which will then contact you in due course.
