Jon is currently with AP Moller Maersk Group in the Vessel Performance section of Maersk Maritime Technology (MMT). Jon started his career as a staff naval architect at Herbert Engineering Corp in San Francisco. He has a BSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in New York and an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge in England. During his degree programs Jon completed a number of industry related work-study programs including internships at Schlumberger’s Gould Research Centre, two US shipyards and a South African boatyard, and sailing for the US Coast Guard aboard the USCGC Polar Sea between Australia and Antarctica. He is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) and the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE). Jon serves on the SNAME Young Professionals committee and previously served as the SNAME Young Professional coordinator for the greater San Francisco Bay area. Jon is a founding member of SPNC and has been actively involved in SPNC’s activities since 2013.
