Nancy Drakou obtained her B.Sc in education, with specialization in Language and History, in 2005 from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki in Greece. from 2005 until 2007 she worked as an assistant at a Law firm in Athens. At the end of 2007 she started working as a sales assistant for the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and less than fours years later she took up the position of Liner manager for the West Mediterranean trade lane. In between, partially sponsored by W.I.S.T.A. Hellas she graduated with an M.B.A. in Shipping from Alba Graduate Business in Athens. In 2011 she moved to London and currently works for Clarksons Plc as an Operator in the dry cargo department. Nancy was elected to the SPNL Board as Company Secretary in 2013, later becoming an Associate Board Member in 2015 responsible for Social Media.
