Representatives from the next generation were represented by Hong Kong, UK (SPNL), Australia and Singapore (BIMCO). The speakers were Martin Holme (Damco Logistics), Thomas Timlen (BIMCO) and Tim Wilkins (Intertanko) . The afternoon was rounded off by a rousing panel discussion moderated by Mr. Mark Millar from M. Power with panellists Davin Chan (ICS HK) Tim Polson & Ajaz Mir (Young Shipping Australia) & SPNL Claudio Chiste (SPNL Chairman), giving their thoughts on the next generation of maritime professionals and what they can offer to the industry. Issues discussed including steps the industry can take to attract talent and lead to a engaging debate between the younger members of the audience and the more established. Whilst no clear winner emerged from the debate, it was unanimous that the maritime industry offered a fascinating, long lasting career path and is here to stay. For further details, please see: YPSNHK
